Food rich in iron may sound strange since iron is a kind of metal. How can, something we consume contains metal in it? Actually the iron is not like the iron we usually see in the shape of iron fence, iron chairs, or other stuffs. The iron here is the nutritious iron which the use is to help us producing sufficient amount of hemoglobin or the red blood cells. Foods rich in iron mean you are giving your body the help to produce the red blood cells. By consuming foods rich in iron, it helps you to avoid getting anemia.

There are many kinds of foods rich in iron. The most famous one is spinach. Spinach is the food that popeye the sailorman always eat before fighting with his enemies. In that movie, it is showed that every time popeye eat the spinach, he always gets stronger and that makes him beat the enemy faster and harder. However, in the real world, consuming foods rich in iron would not give you the effect like what popeye gets, but you may still gets more power since what you eat is nutritious to your body.
Foods rich in iron, as stated above, are useful to help our body producing the red blood cells to avoid getting anemia. People usually get the anemia when their body is lack of red blood cells. The symptoms of anemia are such as feeling dizzy, easily getting tired and lacking of energy, pale look, and also for some serious cases, people with anemia are easily losing consciousness. Although this is not so dangerous if is not combined with any other diseases, anemia is still bothersome since the patients cannot do things in their best condition. Since then, we better avoid anemia because it is bothersome for us.
Foods rich in iron may sounds wonderful like it is the meals of the ironman. No, it is not that wonderful, yet it is useful. Foods rich in iron like spinach, although many people do not like the taste, will help us from being bothered by anemia. In addition, the iron in those foods indeed make us stronger like popeye although not that wonderful since the iron helps the production of the hemoglobin and make us always fresh. Thus, for people who do not like to eat spinach, being a strong person like popeye the sailorman is only a dream.
